What's it all about?
We have 3 one off workshops coming to EAS in March. AN ACTORS ESSENTIALS is 3 key workshops that zoom in on key essentials an actor sometimes overlooks when pursuing a career in the industry. It's about SHOWING UP PREPARED, SHOWCASING YOUR BEST SKILLS for ALL TO SEE, and to have CONTROL of your own navigation through the industry. All workshops are stand alone sessions, priced at £15.00 per session.
Thursday 7th March (7pm-9pm) - Essentials: Socials
If you feel like you ought to be on social media but never know what to post, which sites to be on, or how to stop it taking over your life, this is the workshop for you! We’ll guide you through the basics and help you decide where you want to be, how you want to use it and how to keep the doom scrolling under control. Learn the basics of planning, creating, and subtly reusing content, as well as how to use your socials for finding future collaborators and work.
Thursday 14th March (7pm-9pm) - Essentials: CV
Get your CV in order! Whether you have lots of experience and have been putting off that big update, or whether you’re brand new and yet to get your first professional credits, let us help you get it all set up and ready to go. Bring your laptop/tablet/whatever you write with and we’ll walk you through the process step by step.
Thursday 21st March (7pm-9pm) - Essentials: Showreels
Needing showreel material? In this small class we’ll pair participants up, send you two contrasting short scenes to learn ahead of time, then shoot them with you! Let us handle the lighting, give you some swift direction, then film two takes of each piece with you. Bring a couple of clothing options and your own micro SD card so you can take your footage away with you.
