OUR STORY

Edinburgh Acting School was first launched in Edinburgh by founder and foremost principal Anna Tinline in 1982, offering drama classes for adults and children from all over Edinburgh.  Since then 1000's of students have walked through the doors of the school, in its various venues. Taken over by Kirsty Halliday in 2011 the school continued to expand and it's reputation as one of Edinburgh's most well-established and successful schools continued.

In 2017 the school changed hands once more to the current creative director Stephen J Graham-Martin who has continued to take the school from strength to strength and has worked closely with the teaching team to develop a programme that serves all kinds of students, enthusiasts and professionals.

We want to make sure that the arts is accessible for anyone that wants to be involved. 

We are a fully inclusive school that believes everyone has something to offer to the creative sector. We aimed to create a diverse programme of classes and courses, one off workshops and performances that caters to everyone while challenging students and cast members, and giving them a safe space to be creative.

OUR ETHOS AT EAS

Our team aim to deliver the best in training and development for all of our students. As working professionals themselves, they bring new knowledge and up to date industry information to our school and it’s students.

 

At EAS we consider everyone part of the family-and that starts from the amazing tutors and workshop leaders we have. We all work together so a full rounded and established school can be available to anyone at any level. Whether you are new to acting and looking to dip your toe in, or a seasoned pro wanting to brush up on your skills between jobs/auditions-we have a course or class that is ideal for you
