What's it all about?
Play, Practice, and Grow with this popular Clown workshop series, led by EAS’ resident fool, Dan Collins.
Clown is more than a circus aesthetic. In these workshops we engage in serious play as a means of revealing unique, beautiful stupidity.
Get in touch with your innate idiot, learn to connect with your audience through failure, and find the game in everything.
We’ll be chasing laughs, sensitive to the reaction of spectators; embracing obstacles as opportunities and drawing other people into our world. The clown seeks joy, pleasure, and fun, honing their instincts in an inclusive environment of like minded simpletons.
All welcome: Suitable for beginners and experienced clowns. Learn new skills or maintain your existing practice.
Required: Enthusiasm, curiosity, comfortable clothes, and a water bottle to stay hydrated.
Please arrive early for each session so we can start promptly.
