EAS YOUTH THEATRE         

What's it all about?

Our EAS Youth classes are a safe and fun environment for children & young adults from P5-P7 to S1-S6 to grow in confidence through acting.

EAS Youth Theatre is a space for young performers to grow in confidence and skill, harnessing their craft and building an ensemble. Our tutors are trained, industry professionals, who facilitate a space for learners to find their fit into the world of theatre-making.

S1-S6: 
Our S1-6 classes aim to provide a fun, safe space to be creative and grow, whilst also cementing skills as an actor.  Our practice draws from acting pioneers such as Stanislavski, Laban, Katie Mitchell and Lecoq.  We focus specifically on physicality, vocal techniques, improvisation, text work and working as an ensemble.

The upcoming term aims to continue to harness those skills, but also explore the whole craft of theatre-making. This involves directing and writing too, which allows our students to become well-rounded creatives. We will continue to build and explore those skills throughout the term, with a relaxed showcase at the end.

P5-P7:
Our P5-7 class focuses on confidence building, communication skills and provides a solid introduction to performance. We have lots of fun during our Friday classes, playing games and growing friendships, whilst also building our skills in improvisation, script-work and devising.

​

These classes are a safe, welcoming and open space for our P5-7s to use their brilliant imaginations and harness their creativity. We also work on improving physical and vocal techniques, which they can take into their everyday lives.

August-December 2025 Term: Development -  looking at different styles and practices

January-June 2026 Term: Stage Performance resulting in a public performance.

SEPTEMBER-DECEMBER 2025 (WC 1st September - WC 8th December)

P5 - P7: Fridays @ 4.00pm - 5.30pm

S1 - S6:  Fridays @ 6.00pm - 8.00pm
