Acting for Screen: 4-Day Intensive (Beginners)
 

Step in front of the camera with confidence.
This practical four-day intensive is designed for beginners who want to explore acting for film and
television in a supportive, hands-on environment. It’s also ideal for those with some basic
experience who want to strengthen their foundational skills.
Whether you're curious about screen acting or considering further training, this course will give you
a solid grounding in the core techniques needed to perform truthfully and naturally on camera.
Across four days, you’ll work with a professional acting coach to develop believable performances,
understand how screen acting differs from stage, and gain insight into the technical realities of
working on set.


What you’ll learn:
• The fundamentals of acting for camera
• How to deliver natural, truthful performances on screen
• Basic film set terminology and on-set etiquette
• How to work with framing, eyelines, and continuity
• What a self-tape is and how to approach it


What you’ll do:
• Take part in practical, camera-based exercises
• Rehearse and perform short scripted scenes
• Work in front of the camera every day
• Watch back your work and receive constructive feedback
• Film a short scene


By the end of the course, you will:
• Feel more confident performing on camera
• Understand the fundamentals of screen acting technique

• Have a filmed scene as a record of your work

Create & Perform: Screen Acting Intensive (Intermediate)


Write it. Shape it. Perform it. Film it.


This unique 4-day intensive is designed for actors with some experience who want to take
creative control of their work and experiment with writing for their casting. Combining
acting, writing, and screen performance, the course guides you through the process of
developing original material and bringing it to life on camera. You’ll generate your own
monologue refine it with professional guidance, and perform it in a filmed shoot.


What you’ll learn:
• Advanced screen acting techniques
• How to generate original material from character and impulse
• How to create material that reflects your strengths
• How to prepare work suitable for filming


What you’ll do:
• Take part in guided improvisation and development exercises
• Write and refine your own work

• Work on camera daily to develop precision and truth
• Rehearse with direction and detailed feedback
• Perform your piece in a filmed shoot

By the end of the course, you will:
• Have created original material tailored to your casting
• Deliver a confident, detailed on camera performance
• Receive a filmed speech as an example of your work
