We are thrilled to welcome Aileen Gonsalves to EAS for this one off weekend workshop.
This brand new perspective on actor training The Gonsalves Method with it's unique '5 conditions’ is rooted in the Meisner technique but has grown to incorporate application to text using a particular set of given circumstances. The session offers a chance to build a clear sense of truth in your acting, and to apply it dynamically both to modern dramatic texts and to Shakespeare. We will work through all Meisner's fundamental exercises, exploring their application using given circumstances and onto text work.

You will practice the foundational values of all good acting: listening, responding spontaneously to your partner, living truthfully, moment by moment helping you achieve new authenticity and depth in your work with other actors and with any script. This process will give you a totally new understanding and perspective on the joyful, free way of being a moment to moment, responsive, alive actor!
